Thank you to our WA community for your generosity! Since the beginning of our fiscal year on July 1, we have received over $320,000 towards our Annual Fund goal of $600,000. Combined with designated donations, total giving exceeds $448,000. The Westminster Academy Annual Fund serves to invest in people, strengthen programs, and enhance places on our campuses. It is that time of year when our WA Alumni take on the faculty for our annual co-ed basketball game. Winners get bragging rights and the Lion Knockout Trophy for a year. The game will be held immediately following our Varsity Men's Basketball Winter Court game which will be held on Saturday, February 4, at 7 p.m. All alumni are invited to come out as players or fans. Our Portrait of a Graduate is both aspirational and a reality now. We aim to cultivate students who are Christ-followers, community builders, committed to excellence, critical thinkers, and compassionate contributors. This semester students have volunteered, collected resources, and raised funds for the following organizations: Volleyball teams raised $1076.28 for Holy Cross Health–Partners in Breast Health through Pink Night. National Honor Society hosted two blood drives with OneBlood collecting over 50 units of blood, a school record since 2011! This represents over 100 lives saved! The 11th Annual Sporting Clay Tournament presented by Fusion Powder Coating was a grand success! We had our highest participation yet, 91 participants, including 14 students, and a total of $44,000 raised for the Annual Fund.
