Lower School

The Westminster Academy Lower School recognizes and addresses the specific and unique needs of the lower school student; creates opportunities that challenge and develop the whole student; partners with parents; promotes an environment where students receive a strong academic foundation for college preparation while developing a Christian life and worldview.

WA lower school students are part of a special community where they can discover and develop their gifts and talents for God’s glory. Students also have the opportunity to grow in the love of Christ in weekly chapels and other learning opportunities.

The WA community also shares a deep sense of school spirit—part of the more than 40-year-legacy of being a Lion!  From Friday night football games under the lights to pep rallies like no other—Lions fans know how to show Lion spirit! At Westminster Academy, our students live out the meaning of “Devoted to Christ, Dedicated to Excellence.”

National Blue Ribbon School

On Tuesday, September 30, 2014, the U.S. Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, recognized the Westminster Academy Lower School as a 2014 National Blue Ribbon School in the category of an Exemplary High Performing School based on the lower school’s high academic performance. We are humbled and blessed to receive such a prestigious award.

Westminster Academy was honored alongside 287 public and 50 private schools across the nation at a recognition ceremony held in November 2014 in Washington, D.C.
