The Dr. Kenneth P. Wackes Media Center captures both the mind and heart of the school. The newly renovated space offers opportunities to strengthen student learning and connection and fosters an appetite for lifelong learning, creativity, and collaboration.
The Upper School Media Center provides three distinct learning environments for individual, collaborative, and social learning. The versatility of the design creates a gathering place for various large meetings or classes that includes cutting-edge technology for presentations with comfortable and modern seating. There are plenty of outlets built into furnishings to ensure everyone’s iPad or MacBooks are powered up for learning. There is also a coffee station, for those students who may want an extra boost as well.
The Lower School Media Center includes an enclosed computer lab to improve instructional capabilities and decrease distractions for students taking Accelerated Reader comprehension quizzes. A stage for teaching and multi-media presentations has been added to enhance the learning environment even further.
We are grateful to the many donors who made this renovation possible. We look forward to seeing how this space is used to equip students academically, socially, and spiritually—all for God’s glory!
