Returning applicants have until February 28 to submit all three components. However, the FACTS and SUFS applications should be filed as soon as the State begins accepting applications to ensure that you receive responses from the respective organizations by the February 28 deadline.
Note: the FACTS application requires a completed tax return. Consequently, it is very important that tax returns be completed as well.
Before starting the application process, please ensure that your family meets the eligibility requirements and that you have the following documents available:
Step Up For Students (SUFS) is a state-approved scholarship funding organization that helps administer scholarships for Florida schoolchildren. The Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program (FTC) was created to benefit children whose educational options are limited by household income.
Westminster Academy requires all Financial Assistance applicants to also apply for the State of Florida Step Up For Students Scholarship and provide either an acceptance or denial letter to substantiate the application.
To access the application or for more information, please visit stepupforstudents.org or call 877.735.7837.
Please complete the FACTS online application. After completing the FACTS application, please scan and upload the required documents listed above to FACTS. You can also fax documents to FACTS Grant & Aid at 866.315.9264. Note: all uploaded documents will be forwarded by FACTS to Westminster Academy.
Your FACTS application will be reviewed by the FACTS Grant & Aid team, and a recommendation will be available to our office within 2-3 weeks after receiving all supporting documents.
