Application Instructions
New applicants should apply as soon as possible once enrolled as funds are awarded on a first come basis. Returning applicants have until February 28 to submit the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment application. The Step Up For Students (SUFS) applications should be filed as soon as the State begins accepting applications in the spring.
1. Step Up For Students Scholarship Application
Step Up For Students (SUFS) is a state-approved scholarship funding organization that helps administer scholarships for Florida schoolchildren. These scholarships were created to empower families to pursue and engage in the most appropriate learning options for their children.
Financial Assistance awarded by Westminster Academy is contingent upon the receipt of a Step Up For Students Scholarship.

2. FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment
Please complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment application and submit the required documents to FACTS. Documents can be faxed to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment at 866.315.9264. Note: all uploaded documents will be forwarded by FACTS to Westminster Academy.
The FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment can be completed without your current tax return, however, awards will not be granted until it is submitted to FACTS.
Before starting the application process, please ensure that your family meets the eligibility requirements and that you have the following documents available:
- A complete copy of your personal tax return documents.
- A complete copy of your business tax return documents, if applicable
- A copy of W2 forms for all working adults in the household and a copy of 1099’s if you are self-employed
