The Westminster Academy Band program consists of four performing ensembles with over one hundred middle and high school musicians.
Each academic year the band program maintains an active schedule of performances ranging from local school and community concerts to national and international performance tours.
Past performance highlights include:
- Concert Tour to Puerto Rico
- Concert Tour to Costa Rica
- Concert Tour to Tegucigalpa, Honduras
- Concert tour to Merida, Mexico
- Concert tour to Quito, Ecuador
- Concert tour to Colorado
- Concert tour to Washington, D.C.
- Performances aboard Carnival Cruise Lines
Venues have included Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Six Flags Georgia and Maryland, Stone Mountain Georgia, and the Hard Rock Café Orlando.
In addition to these performances Westminster Academy bands have appeared on the national TV program The Coral Ridge Hour, performed at Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and performed a worldwide radio broadcast on HCJB in South America. The bands have also performed for past Presidents and Vice Presidents of the United States.
The Westminster Academy Band program maintains an active outreach to the community through their performances.
