On March 26 and 27, the Fine Arts Department presented an outstanding performance of the musical, Little Women. The character development, singing, and choreography certainly put our talented students on display. There was barely a dry eye as the audience watched this mesmerizing production and incredible students perform very moving numbers on stage. Furthermore, the school musical had a faculty investment as well. Laura Groves spearheaded the beginnings of blocking scenes and students memorizing their lines, while Rachel Cox was on maternity leave. Neil Nelson and Lisa Wilson expertly taught the music to the cast, while Sonja Timmer constructed the set....

This year, nine of our wonderful WA Jr. Thespians earned a spot at the Regional competition, allowing them to compete at the State level.  They worked hard to perfect their different performance pieces, then we submitted them virtually to the State.  That meant our WA middle school students were competing against about 6000 other students in a bid for Excellent and Superior ratings for their work.  They did an amazing job with such tough competition, and our students earned four Superiors at States! We are proud to announce the following results, and we can’t wait to see what they have planned...
