Westminster Academy’s Alumni Association is honored to recognize Laura Blake ’86 Murphy as the 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. Laura exemplifies WA’s Portrait of a Graduate through her faithful leadership, personal accomplishments, and commitment to living out the school’s mission: Devoted to Christ—Dedicated to Excellence. Selected through nominations from fellow alumni and chosen by members of the faculty and alumni board, the Distinguished Alumni Award honors graduates who have demonstrated extraordinary distinction in their profession, community, and personal life for God’s glory. This year, Westminster Academy honors beloved faculty and staff whose faithful service has helped shape the life of our school community. At the center of this year’s farewells is Coach Jeff Smith, WA’s longest-serving teacher, who retires after 48 years of dedicated service.
