College Counseling

Preparing Students for College, Career, and Calling

At Westminster Academy, college planning is a strategic, Christ-centered journey rooted in the belief that every student is uniquely gifted by God, our program goes beyond college admissions—helping students discover their God-given talents and purpose.

Students in grades 7–12 gain access to Scoir, our college and career planning platform, and benefit from a dedicated team of counselors with over 30 years of combined experience. Assigned by grade level, counselors provide consistent, personalized guidance throughout their upper school experience.

Starting in 8th grade, students engage in classroom sessions on career exploration, personality assessments, college research, and résumé building. By their junior year, they participate in focused planning seminars and complete their college list, résumé, and personal essay.

Our counselors are available year-round for one-on-one advising, equipping students to pursue their college and career goals with clarity, confidence, and a desire to glorify God in every endeavor.

Scoir—College & Career Readiness

Westminster Academy is pleased to introduce Scoir (pronounced “score”), our new College & Career Readiness platform designed to streamline the college application process and enhance student and parent engagement. Scoir offers a dynamic interface where colleges come to life through visuals and links, making it easier for students to explore institutions that align with their academic and personal interests. This thoughtful tool supports better college matches and equips families with financial calculators to assess college affordability. We are excited to provide this resource to help our students discover, plan, and pursue their future with confidence—for God’s glory.
