This year, our WA high school robotics group is celebrating 20 years of its innovative and award-winning program! Team 744 Shark Attack has a long and rich history, despite only being recognized as a team since 2006. Prior to that time, our team was a part of retired Team 710 PAW and also had affiliations with retired Team 267 Demolition Squad. Therefore, some of our mentors have been a part of Team 744 for over 15 years. Besides closing out amazing performances of Little Women in March, many of the cast members who are members of the International Thespian Society, Troupe 8570, also virtually competed at the State Thespian Competition. Please join Westminster Academy’s National High School Honor Choir student, Rachel Castillo and friends, for her senior recital on Friday, May 7, at 7:00 p.m. in the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church Sanctuary. You will be blessed and entertained with a wonderful variety of classical, Broadway, and sacred songs. Light refreshments will be provided during intermission. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed and masks are required throughout the performance. Rachel will attend Stetson University in the fall, majoring in Vocal Performance. On March 26 and 27, the Fine Arts Department presented an outstanding performance of the musical, Little Women. The character development, singing, and choreography certainly put our talented students on display. There was barely a dry eye as the audience watched this mesmerizing production and incredible students perform very moving numbers on stage. Furthermore, the school musical had a faculty investment as well. Laura Groves spearheaded the beginnings of blocking scenes and students memorizing their lines, while Rachel Cox was on maternity leave. Neil Nelson and Lisa Wilson expertly taught the music to the cast, while Sonja Timmer constructed the set....
