We are looking forward to another exciting year in athletics at Westminster Academy. We are offering stadium-style box seating in the gymnasium and football stadium to support the Basketball, Cheer, Football, and Volleyball programs. This unique seating is an excellent opportunity to support our athletic programs and provide a comfortable, unique experience for our families and fans. There are 48 box seats in the football stadium and another 48 box seats in the gymnasium. The Lions Athletic Club (LAC) makes a meaningful impact on Westminster Academy Athletics by investing in facilities, equipment, and opportunities that enhance the student-athlete experience across every program. Recent LAC-supported projects include new pool lockers and shade structures, improvements to the baseball batting cage, turf replacement, and the Football Lion Tunnel. Join us for the Lions Athletic Club Golf Tournament, presented by Audi Fort Lauderdale, on Monday, September 21, at Coral Ridge Country Club. Registration, lunch, and a putting contest begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Enjoy a beautiful day on the course while supporting Westminster Academy student-athletes, with prizes for gross and net teams, closest to the pin, longest drive, and more! Join us tomorrow night, Friday, August 21, at the West Campus Athletic Complex for the Back-to-School Tailgate and Varsity Football Kickoff Classic! Bring the whole family for food, fun, and plenty of Lion spirit as we kick off the new school year together. Tailgate begins at 6:00 p.m., with food trucks and WA concessions available, followed by kickoff at 7:00 p.m. as the Lions take on Somerset Prep. DJ Gaines named Florida Dairy Farmers 2026 Class 2A Men’s Basketball Player of the Year Westminster Academy celebrates a historic moment in athletics as junior guard D.J. Gaines has been named the Florida Dairy Farmers 2026 Class 2A Player of the Year. He also earned First Team All-County honors from both the Sun Sentinel and Miami Herald. Gaines led his team with an outstanding season, averaging 30.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.0 steals per game.
