In a thrilling 10–9 victory, the Westminster Academy Lions edged out the Mater Lakes Bears to claim the 2025 FHSAA Boys Class 1A Water Polo State Championship, capping off an incredible season with a historic win. The championship game was a true test of teamwork, determination, and heart. The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) has announced the Florida Dairy Farmers 2025 Class 2A Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball Player of the Year Awards—and for the first time ever, both recipients are from the same school—Westminster Academy! Track and Field: State Competitors The WA Track and Field program was well represented with 22 student-athletes competing at the 1A State Championships at the University of North Florida’s Hodges Stadium on Saturday, May 10. They returned with 10 medals in seven events, with each athlete performing exceptionally well—even after a three-hour lightning. The top 8 places medal and are All-State finishers.
