Even though we could not gather in person, a signing ceremony took place Wednesday, April 15, for Stephan Swenson. A virtual crowd assembled online to watch Stephan sign his National Letter of Intent to play basketball for Stetson University. Joining us from Brussels, Belgium, Stephan spent the last two seasons at WA. He helped guide the Lions to a 4A state title in 2019 and a district championship in 2020. This WA Point Guard contributed to 46 wins in his two seasons. Stephan averaged 14.3 points, 9.2 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game as a senior, earning Second Team All-Broward County...

On Tuesday, March 10, lower school students enjoyed a beautiful day on the field while participating in this year’s WA Field Day. Packed full of fun and games, the day included various sports-related activities and competitions. In the morning, Kindergarten through Second Grade took part in sports to promote physical activity rather than solely competition. However, in the afternoon, Third through Fifth Grader showed their athletic abilities through track and field events and swimming in WA’s first “Field Day Olympics.” Because the Summer Olympics occur this year, the students could learn about the event by simulating our own Olympics at WA....
