The Lions’ Parent Association (LPA) actively supports the mission of the school. One of the six teams that make up the LPA is the Prayer and Care Team. Their purpose is to provide encouragement and support to families experiencing a hardship. In addition, one goal they have this year for WA is to encourage our community in the healthy habit of prayer. Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church invites WA moms to join them next week for Coral Ridge Moms. Inspired by Deuteronomy 6:6–7, this gathering is a group of women in every season of motherhood. Next week on Thursday, March 7, the women will gather to hear from a special guest speaker, Dr. Heather Clark. Because parenting has its challenges, Dr. Clark will address “Thriving in the Inevitable Stress and Anxiety of Parenting.” In addition to being a clinical psychologist and Christian counselor, Heather is also a WA mom! On Thursday, February 21, the third-grade students treated the lower school to a special chapel presentation. In honor of President’s Day, the third-grade students dressed up as their favorite famous American. Students chose American figures from both past and contemporary times. For example, we had Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Harriet Tubman, Lucille Ball, and Billy Graham all leading chapel today!
