The Fishing Tournament presented by the Lions Parent Association will be held on Friday, April 1. The tournament will begin at 7:30 a.m. from the Hillsboro Inlet. Weigh-ins will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Sands Harbor Resort & Marina, followed by an awards ceremony at 4:00 p.m. You may use your own boat or join us on a drift boat that will be available. Our high school robotics team, FRC Team 744, Shark Attack, competed in two regional competitions over the spring break. At the South Florida Regional, we had a record of 6–5–1 in qualifying rounds and finished 13th among 33 teams. We were the 8th seed alliance captain and fell in the quarterfinals to the alliance that eventually won the regional. At the Orlando Regional, we were 7–2–0 in qualifying and finished in 12th place among 56 teams. Every year, Boosterthon puts the “fun” in fundraising. While the Lower School Fun Run held on February 17 was, in fact, fun, it was also a huge success and raised over $60,000, which sets a new record! These funds will help provide playground enhancements that will be completed over the summer. Students from PK2 through fifth grade spent two weeks getting pledges and receiving prizes. In addition, students built up their character. The event culminated on the field with the run, and older students got an extra special treat—a color run! Shrek The Musical The high school production of Shrek The Musical is well into rehearsals, with an incredibly talented cast. This production, presented by Collision Care Xpress, will take to the stage on Friday, March 25 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Tickets will go on sale Friday, February 25.
