Fine Arts closes out the 2021–22 school year with a magnificent performance of Cinderella, presented by Journey Kids Dental! Over 1,200 seats were sold over four performances. Our students truly shine in the spotlight, from the magnificent singing to the incredible choreography, fantastic acting, and gorgeous costumes. During the last week of April, our headmaster, Dr. Satterly, was invited to join Rosalind Osgood, Florida Senate District 33 and former Broward County Public School Board Chair; Jon Hage, CEO/Charter Schools USA; and Cindy Arenberg Seltzer, President and CEO of Children’s Services Council of Broward County on a panel at the Village Square dinner to discuss the topics of competition and school choice. This week was Spiritual Emphasis Week with special sessions with guest speakers Alisa Childers, WA alumna Sheilah Abadines ’06 Ledesma, and Pastor Gavin Felix. Village Hymns opened each day by leading worship. This year’s theme was “Here and Now,” and it encouraged students to be countercultural rather than followers. Our Lions Parent Association (LPA) provided special treats for our students. Upper school principal, Dr. Farrar, closed out the week by sharing that Christ is our anchor in the stormy sea of life.
