Each year, the Broward County Non-Public School Association honors exceptional students. The Pinnacle Award recognizes students who set an example in their actions at home, in school, and in the community. In addition, they excel in one or more of these areas: academics, community service, citizenship, fine arts, athletics, and student activities. Our awesome WA Junior Thespians spent last weekend in Orlando at the Florida State Junior Thespian Festival. These talented 6th–8th-grade students attended performance workshops, then competed in multiple events to showcase their acting, singing, and overall performance abilities. To qualify to attend the State Festival, they first had to compete and receive a high enough score at the District level, which happened locally in November. At that competition, nine of our performance and technical theater “events” scored in that range, so those events are what the students then presented in Orlando. We are excited about the fun-filled summer we’ve planned for our campers in preschool through elementary! Registration is now open for our Preschool & Elementary Camps and WA Sports Camp. Camp WA offers a wide range of structured activities that are age-appropriate and loads of fun!
