05 Dec Middle School Visits New World Symphony
On Thursday, November 21, the middle school orchestra traveled to Miami Beach to attend an educational concert. The New World Symphony performed with the purpose of introducing school-age students to a full orchestra. This year, our students got to hear from a student soloist and winner of the Sphinx Competition and a few living composers who spoke about creativity. The New World Symphony, established and directed by the conductor of the San Francisco Symphony, Michael Tilson Thomas, helps train post-graduate musicians.
