Westminster Academy's Thespian Society, Troupe 8570, completed their first One Acts Competition with District 7 Thespians. This competition is very competitive, and the students' performance received the loudest applause of the day! This new cast of students performed Good Good Trouble on Bad Bad Island and received a trophy for Excellent Overall. In addition, sophomore Mikey White received the trophy for Best Supporting Actor for all two days of the One Acts Competition while junior Hunter Kriezinger received a plaque, chosen Best Actor in Troupe 8570. Each year, orchestra students from schools across Broward County participate in the Solo and Ensemble Festival for adjudication. These middle and high school students receive ratings from good to superior. The Westminster Academy High School Concert Band, Concert Orchestra, and Choirs will present a special Christmas program, “Lessons & Carols,” on Tuesday, December 10, at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. Based on “A Festival of Lessons and Carols,” this program features our talented students celebrating the birth of Christ.
