Lions Athletic Club Golf Tournament Registration is now open for the Lions Athletic Club Golf Tournament presented by Audi Fort Lauderdale on Monday, September 26! The Lions Athletic Club (LAC) is hosting the event at the Coral Ridge Country Club. All proceeds will enhance the WA athletic program, including facilities, equipment, and training, to empower our student-athletes to excel both on and off the field. Renewals have gone out and are filling up quickly. Several foursomes still remain, but it is expected to sell out for the second consecutive year. Our annual auction, The Golden Ticket, presented by Benedetti Orthodontics, was a huge success with gross proceeds of $440,000, setting an all-time high in our 50-year history! This includes $65,000 raised for the new WA branded activity bus. In addition, we received a $50,000 match! Congratulations to Danny and Amanda Byrne, who won the $5000 tuition credit for next school year, and thank you to all who purchased tickets! With much to celebrate, we also have many to thank. The Fishing Tournament presented by the Lions Parent Association has been rescheduled for Friday, April 29, due to weather conditions on the prior date. The tournament will begin at 7:30 a.m. from the Hillsboro Inlet. Weigh-ins will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Sands Harbor Resort & Marina, followed by an awards ceremony at 4:00 p.m. The drift boat is full, however, private boat entry is still available.
