Exploratory courses in PREP are designed to discover and develop each student’s unique gifts and talents for God’s glory. This year, we expanded the exploratory programming with a new course called Joyful Gestures. Joyful Gestures is a service learning program rooted in the Bible. Inspired by verses like Acts 20:35, where Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” students embark on meaningful adventures of compassion and generosity. Recently, Westminster Academy hosted the Christian College Fair. There were 32 Christian colleges from across the nation set up to visit with our students in the James F. Lindsay Gymnasium. Juniors and seniors spoke with college representatives to learn what each school offers. Often, the college representatives who visit are the ones who are reading through applications, so this opportunity to connect can make a significant impact. Over the next two months, students will have the opportunity to meet with many different colleges through on-campus visits. Most visits will occur at lunch in the Dr. Kenneth P. Wackes Media Center.
