The Lower School/PREP Fun Run was held yesterday, February 8, and was a huge success, beating the original goal and raising over $60,000! These funds will help provide playground equipment and technology. Students from PK2 through sixth grade spent two weeks getting pledges and receiving prizes. Booster visited classrooms and talked to students about how to choose to live with character every day through Booster's brand new character theme, Grand Land Adventure. Last month the WA Junior Thespians spent the weekend in Orlando for the State competition. They attended various theater and dance workshops on Friday and took in a performance of the Broadway show “Newsies” that evening. On Saturday, they competed in various theatrical events in front of a panel of judges. They were striving to be awarded the titles of “Excellent” or “Superior.” The troupe celebrated their accomplishments at an awards dinner on Saturday evening and then a trip to Universal Studios! ​Dear WA Community, The new year often represents an opportunity to reset. Some capture this idea with “resolutions,” which, while well-intentioned, can tend to have a short shelf life.
