Every year, the National Football Foundation hosts the Brian Piccolo Award Banquet. This awards dinner pays tribute to the late Brian Piccolo, a standout football player for St. Thomas Aquinas, Wake Forest, and the NFL with the Chicago Bears. Three WA seniors signed their National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, February 5. Congratulations to our student-athletes who will be using their talents to glorify God at the collegiate level. Donovan Lassiter accepted a full athletic scholarship from Lehigh University to play football for the NCAA FCS-Division 1 team. Wednesday, December 18, marked the start of the NCAA’s early signing period for football, and it is with great excitement that Lehigh University announced the National Letter of Intent and full athletic scholarship for Donovan Lassiter ’20. As FIFC Conference Player of the Year, Donovan was a big contributor to the Lions’ outstanding 9-2 season. In addition, as team captain, he led his team to a state playoff appearance.
