The International Thespian Society (ITS) had its third annual induction ceremony on Thursday, October 17. ITS President, Kylie Mathis, handed certificates, membership cards, and ITS pins to nine new members of Troupe 8570. This honor society recognizes, encourages, and rewards students for work in all aspects of theatre. In addition, ITS students are honored at a national level and can compete in local, state, and national competitions. WA Fine Arts is excited to announce the 2020 Spring Musical will be The Sound of Music. Next week, October 7–11, the high school drama department will hold auditions to cast the show. For students interested, auditions will take place in Mrs. Cox’s Room, 206, from 3:15–5:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday. Then, Thursday and Friday will be callbacks. To audition, high school students must pick up a packet and a rehearsal calendar from the Upper School Office and return the performance agreement on the day of auditions.
