Our new school-branded activity bus was showcased at the football game last Friday night, where the varsity Lions won 23–0 over the Bradenton Christian School Panthers in the first game of the regular season! This additional bus will transport students to a variety of off-campus activities and will also serve as a traveling billboard for our school while representing Westminster Academy's standard of excellence! We are grateful for the family who provided a $50K match to encourage generosity for this project, which was chosen as our Annual Auction Heart Raise last spring. Schoolwide Chapels officially kicked off, starting with Lower School Chapel last week. Students had a chance to come together to worship and hear from the first guest speaker Dr. Satterly. We are excited to introduce our new PREP Principal, Dr. Rebekah Owens, who will oversee grades three through six. Dr. Owens is a dedicated educator with nearly two decades of experience internationally and in the United States. Dr. Owens and her family are joining us from Taiwan. The Owens family recently returned to the United States after serving 12 years as missionaries and educators. She has taught several grade levels and served in various administrative roles. We loved seeing so many families come out for the Back-To-School Tailgate to support the Varisty Lions Football Team! Special thanks to the Lions Parent Association for decorating cars and welcoming families. The Lions Football Team kicked off their season with a 13–12 victory over the Palm Beach Prep Sharks last Friday night. We are looking forward to a great season!
