Every year, the National Football Foundation hosts the Brian Piccolo Awards Banquet. This awards dinner pays tribute to the late Brian Piccolo, a standout football player for St. Thomas Aquinas, Wake Forest, and in the NFL with the Chicago Bears. In addition, it gathers 41 senior student-athletes from Broward County schools who excel both academically and on the football field. Congratulations to WA senior, Samuel Seeman, on advancing to the Finalist standing in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program! High school students enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), which serves as an initial screen of over 1.3 million entrants each year.
