Throughout the school year, students in Lower School participated in the challenging Accelerated Reader program. This program strengthens reading skills and boosts comprehension. Each student is assigned a point goal to meet each quarter. They take short online quizzes and receive points based on their reading. For the 2018–19 school year, over 100 students achieved their goal for all four quarters. The two students with the highest points in each grade enjoyed a pizza party in the lower school ballet room on Tuesday, May 21. This week the Lions' Parent Association (LPA) begins restocking the Uniform Bank in preparation for the 2019–20 school year! Please consider donating your uniforms, P.E. uniforms, and spirit wear. Then, the top scores were logged into a national database where our students competed against over 1000 schools nationwide. We were...

Fifth-grade students, teachers, and chaperones headed to Pigeon Key to study marine life. This three-day trip takes place off of mainland Marathon. During the trip, students will learn about marine invertebrates, Florida Keys habitats, and local fish. Pigeon Key is a 5-acre island that once held 400 workers during the early 1900s while the Old Seven Mile Bridge was under construction. The stop at Sombrero Reef allows students to experience the third largest barrier reef in the world. The students, as well as the teachers...

Every year, Boosterthon puts the “fun” in fundraising. While the Lower School Fun Run held on April 18 was in fact fun, it was also a huge success and raised over $25,000! This total breaks last year's! Students from PK2 through fifth grade spent two weeks getting pledges and receiving prizes. In addition, students built up their character with this year’s theme—Mind Spark. In this incredible, science-infused character theme, students helped a team of brainy kids solve problems. While they teamed up with the MindSpark Kids to solve mysteries, our students learned five character traits to help strengthen themselves and our...
