Fall Sports Update

Fall sports season is heating up! Our teams are putting in the hard work and seeing amazing results. Stay informed about our teams’ progress, exciting games, and upcoming events on our website, and join us in cheering on our Lions!

Volleyball: The Lady Lions volleyball team continues to put in the work this season with a competitive schedule. The Lions won a hard-fought 3-2 victory against the FAU Owls last week and will head into tournament play this weekend at the C-M Cares Invitational hosted by Chaminade-Madonna. Keep up the fantastic work, Lions!

Football: The Lions football team is off to a solid start this season, boasting victories against Somerset Key (51-6), Tradition Prep (21-6),  Somerset Prep (36-8), and Glades Day (35-0)! The next showdown is set for Friday, September 26, at 7 p.m. at Pompano Beach High School!

Cross Country: The Lions’ Cross Country teams had an outstanding showing at the Miami Country Day Open 1 at Greynolds Park on September 9.

Men’s 5000m

  • Lucas Latimore took 1st place overall!

  • With strong runs from Wilson Seeman, Kiesel Wildrick, Samuel Scharer, and AJ Gonzalez, the men’s team earned a 3rd-place finish.

Women’s 5000m

  • Eugenia Fantoni finished 2nd, and Reese Richardson placed 3rd.

  • Supported by Isla Oles, Lucia Rocco, and Madison Anderson, the women’s team captured an impressive 2nd-place finish.

Swim: After several weather-related cancellations, the swim and dive teams officially launched their season on Saturday, September 6. Their season-opening meet was started by Coach Tom Fagley in 2000 in memory of his mother, Ruth Fagley, and is now known as the “Ruth and Tom Fagley Memorial Florida Schools Invitational.” The Men’s team earned runner-up honors, while the Ladies’ team secured an impressive third-place finish overall.

Golf: The Lady Lions Golf team had a strong performance at the Lady Maverick Invitational, where they defeated Cardinal Gibbons, Westminster Christian, Mater Lakes, and Gulliver Prep.

Cheer: Our cheer squad is bringing the spirit this season, with over 30 enthusiastic members energizing the stands at every game! They’re pumped for both the upcoming competitive cheer and basketball seasons. Keep up the excitement!
