Our WA divers shined bright at the Florida 1A State Swimming and Diving Championship in Stuart on Saturday, November 9. Junior, Blake Shaw, dominated the field to win the gold medal by nearly 100 points. His performance will also certainly qualify him to earn All-American recognition. Our ladies’ also had an outstanding meet. Freshman, Makenzie Blake earned a medal by diving her way to a 7th place finish.  Junior, Abigail Farrar, made the finals in her first-ever state meet and scored valuable points for the team by placing 15th. Congratulations to three divers, freshman, Makenzie Blake, and juniors, Abigail Farrar and Blake Shaw! They each qualified for the State Meet this past Friday and will now compete this Saturday in Stuart, Florida. Way to go, Aquatic Lions!...

The District 11 Swimming and Diving Championship was held on Friday, October 25, at the Nova Southeastern University Aquatic Complex. Congratulations to junior diver, Blake Shaw, for setting the 6 dive school record! The old record was 306.30 points set in 2014 by Alex Warters. Blake’s score was 356.62 points. On Friday, October 4, he also placed first in the dual meet against Pine Crest.
