Congratulations to Angie Marks ’93 Matsoff, our 2019 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient.Angie Marks ’93 Matsoff is a tremendous example of having the Lion Spirit. Shortly after graduation from Westminster Academy, and just weeks before heading to college, Angie was diagnosed with Stargardt’s disease. This juvenile macular degeneration is an incurable eye disease that typically results in a loss of central vision over time. Within a year, Angie's vision deteriorated and declared legally blind. On Tuesday, May 14, the Alumni Association held their annual LaSpadas luncheon for seniors and alumni. The Alumni Association welcomed the class of 2019 into the fold by challenging and encouraging these newest members. Sarah Abadines ‘04 Maba, Aaron Bibbee ‘12, and Vince Trombino ‘17, each shared reflections. Above all, each explained how God continued to work in their lives after graduating from WA.Prior to the luncheon, the upper school chapel celebrated the graduating class with the annual senior chapel.
