We’re looking forward to a week of school spirit in honor of Winter Court with dress-up days, hallway decorations, the Winter Court representative’s presentation in the Upper School chapel, and Friday’s pep rally. All festivities lead to the Winter Court Men’s Varsity Basketball game at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, against Taravella High School.
Before the big game, The Lions Parent Association (LPA) Mane Event Team is hosting our Second Annual Chili Cook–Off at 6:30 p.m. The Mane Event Team is seeking ten parent contestants to compete to be the “WA Chili Cook–off Champion.” (Please click here to view full registration details and complete an entry form.) Not planning to cook? Join us to taste and cast your vote for your favorite chili. There will be a $5 fee for a single tasting of all chili entries. Cash or credit cards will be accepted. The top 3 winners will receive a prize. The Grand Prize will be a “WA Chili Cook–off Champion” apron to be worn proudly at all your family cooking events!
Calling all alumni! Immediately following the game, our WA Alumni will take on the faculty for our annual co-ed basketball game. Winners get bragging rights and the Lion Knockout Trophy for a year. All alumni are invited to come out as players or fans. If you are an alumnus and desire to play, please contact Alumni Relations and Advancement Specialist Sandy Hall.
