PREP

Over the last month, students from lower school, PREP, and upper school had the opportunity to attend various field trips spanning the state of Florida all the way up to Boston, Massachusetts. These trips have provided many educational opportunities as well as a chance for camaraderie with fellow students. Below is a recap from each field trip: Second Grade, Miami Zoo—Second-grade students traveled to the Miami Zoo to learn about and explore the different animal habitats and exhibits. Some of the animals that students could see were elephants, monkeys, and giraffes. One of the day's highlights was walking through a transparent...

Last month the PREP division hosted Spiritual Emphasis week for students in grades 3–6. Pastor Travis Owens, Student Ministry Pastor from Virginia, was the guest speaker, and the theme was Cultivate. Each day of the week, students attended a chapel where Pastor Travis introduced a new key to success and then visited classrooms to follow up with students. The week concluded with Pastor Travis reviewing the four keys to success, Know the Word, Be in the Word, Meditate on the Word, and Obey the Word. In addition, a new Superhero “Captain Cultivate,” demonstrated what cultivating meant, and sixth grade participated...

The Lower School/PREP Fun Run was held yesterday, February 8, and was a huge success, beating the original goal and raising over $60,000! These funds will help provide playground equipment and technology. Students from PK2 through sixth grade spent two weeks getting pledges and receiving prizes. Booster visited classrooms and talked to students about how to choose to live with character every day through Booster's brand new character theme, Grand Land Adventure. The event culminated on the field with the run, and older students got an extra special treat—a color run! A special thank you goes to our Community Partner, Benedetti Orthodontics,...

Re-enrollment for the 2023–24 school year is just around the corner. Next week, all currently enrolled families will receive an email with details about the re-enrollment process. The preferred enrollment window for our current families begins on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, the first day of the second semester, and concludes on January 31. Last year we had a 92% retention rate and high interest from new families, which resulted in waiting lists. Given the interest already expressed by new families, we are encouraging families to re-enroll as soon as possible because, on February 1, we will begin to admit new...
