Student Ambassadors Attend Center for Christian Statesmanship Award Dinner

This fall, our Advancement Team launched our Student Ambassador Program. These high school students serve the office of the Headmaster and the Advancement Team, representing Westminster Academy on campus and in our community. Student ambassadors share the mission and story of our school at various events with current and prospective families.

As part of the experience, the student ambassadors were invited by the D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship to represent Westminster Academy at the Distinguished Christian Statesman Award Dinner. This year’s recipient was Senator Tim Scott. Established in 1995, the D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship is a spiritually-based outreach to men and women in positions of influence and authority in our nation’s government. The Distinguished Christian Statesman Award was created to recognize men and women who endeavor to live out their Christian faith in public life.

Student ambassadors also had the opportunity to visit several sites in Washington, D.C., on a faith tour led by New York Times best-selling author Stephen Mansfield, who was last year’s Commencement Speaker for the WA Class of 2023. In addition, Dr. Satterly guided students through Arlington National Cemetery. The trip concluded with an alumni breakfast, which included graduates from 1985 to 2015 and student ambassadors sharing their WA stories!
