DJ Gaines: Florida Dairy Farmer's 2A Men's Basketball Player of the Year Westminster Academy celebrates a historic moment in athletics as junior guard D.J. Gaines has been named the Florida Dairy Farmers 2026 Class 2A Player of the Year. He also earned First Team All-County honors from both the Sun Sentinel and Miami Herald. Gaines led his team with an outstanding season, averaging 30.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. Track and Field: State Competitors The WA Track and Field program was well represented with 22 student-athletes competing at the 1A State Championships at the University of North Florida’s Hodges Stadium on Saturday, May 10. They returned with 10 medals in seven events, with each athlete performing exceptionally well—even after a three-hour lightning. The top 8 places medal and are All-State finishers.
