Welcome to the 2019-20 winter athletic season! Below is the list of the tryout and start dates, along with contact information for each coach. Every student-athlete must have a completed athletic physical turned in before they try out. Download the form here or pick one up in the athletic office. It wasn’t just at the Winter Court Dance that students enjoyed a “Winter Wonderland.” Thanks to our student-athletes, our school celebrated district championship wins for each of our varsity winter sports. With a resounding 92–73 victory over Benjamin last Friday, the men’s basketball team joined ladies’ basketball, ladies’ soccer, and men’s soccer as District Champions! Our younger Lions have come out of the den strong! Training and development are deeply rooted in the WA ladies’ soccer and ladies’ basketball programs. These two winter sport programs recently enjoyed winning the district championships with a preponderance of underclassmen. The only senior student-athlete among these two teams is WA “Lifer,” Drew Franta. Drew was part of the Ladies’ Varsity Soccer program that defeated the South Florida Heat 3-1 to bring home the district title.
