It is that time of year when our WA Alumni take on the faculty for our annual co-ed basketball game. Winners get bragging rights and the Lion Knockout Trophy for a year. The game will be held immediately following our Varsity Men's Basketball Winter Court game which will be held on Saturday, February 4, at 7 p.m. All alumni are invited to come out as players or fans. We are looking forward to another exciting year in athletics at WA. We will be selling the stadium-style box seating in the gymnasium and football stadium to help raise funds for the basketball, cheer, football, and volleyball programs. This unique seating is an excellent opportunity to help raise extra funds for our athletic programs and provide a comfortable and unique athletic experience for our parents, grandparents, and fans. As we approach the end of the school year, we are excited to share that we have several student-athletes extending their seasons! Varsity Softball won Districts for the second consecutive year—defeating Highlands Christian in the semifinals 15–0 and Miami Country Day in the Finals 17–0. They recently won the Regional Quarterfinal game to advance to the Regional Semifinals. Varsity Baseball also won Districts for the second consecutive year.
