Our second 5–Day Annual Fund Drive was a great success! While we are still making progress towards our goal of 50% parent participation, we are confident we will reach our goal by December 31. Let’s celebrate! Congratulations to WA Alumnus Michael A. Taylor from the Class of 2009 for receiving his first Gold Glove Award! We are proud of his work and accomplishments. The Westminster Academy Alumni Association and Athletic Department honored Taylor in February of 2020 by retiring his baseball jersey #3. Never again will another student-athlete represent WA on the baseball field with #3. Previously, the Alumni Association inducted Taylor into Westminster Academy’s Athletic Hall of Honor in 2015. We have coordinated student-led service projects to demonstrate our faith in action. Our Upper School service days are called “Rooted & Grounded,” following the school theme “Rooted” from Jeremiah 17:8. We have partnered with local nonprofit organizations to provide opportunities for our students to positively impact our community and interact with their peers in meaningful ways....

The 41st Annual Christmas Boutique and Craft Market was a great success! This Christmas tradition kicks off the holiday season for many in our community. In its 41st year, this one was no exception! The Lions Parent Association hosted 70 vendors on November 5 and 6. Among them were young entrepreneurs in the Student Vendor Marketplace. Several booths sold 100% handmade items. The Christmas Café and live performances by our talented fine arts students added to the holiday atmosphere. Register now for the 10th Annual Westminster Academy Sporting Clay Tournament presented by Southern Painting on Friday, December 10, at Quail Creek Sporting Ranch in Okeechobee. Spend the day in the great outdoors! Participants will enjoy a country breakfast, then take aim at clay pigeons on a 14-station course, and end the event with a hearty lunch. All skill levels are welcome to participate! We are also looking for businesses and families to sponsor the event.
