Our WA Jr. Thespians had an outstanding weekend at the States Competition in Orlando, earning 9 Excellent and 3 Superior ratings in performance and technical events. Superior Honors: Isabella Martinez – Monologue from Funny Girl Mila Blackmon – Costume Design (Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical) Akaila Bhola – Publicity/Marketing Design (Mean Girls: High School Edition) Students also received Excellent ratings across solos, duets, small-group acting, large-group musical numbers from Anastasia: Teen Edition, and multiple technical categories. Our fifth graders rolled up their sleeves for Service Project Day at CROS Ministries—and made a meaningful impact! Working together with enthusiasm and teamwork, students harvested 132 boxes (3,310 pounds!) of fresh tomatoes, now being distributed throughout the county to neighbors in need. As CROS shared, "their time and effort made a real difference in serving the community." We’re excited that our sixth graders will continue the effort tomorrow by serving at CROS Ministries through gleaning to help provide food for local families.
