Our eighth-grade students recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Washington, D.C.—a cherished Westminster Academy tradition that brings history to life while deepening their understanding of our nation’s foundations and Christian heritage. Led by Civics teacher Mr. Williams, students explored many of our nation’s most significant landmarks, including the White House, the U.S. Capitol, the Supreme Court, and the Library of Congress. They also visited iconic memorials such as the Lincoln, WWII, Vietnam, Korean War, MLK, and Jefferson Memorials. Learning came to life in meaningful ways for Westminster Academy students through engaging, hands-on experiences in both fourth and sixth grade. These experiences reflect Westminster Academy’s commitment to cultivating curiosity, creativity, and real-world learning at every grade level. Fourth-grade students showcased their creativity and problem-solving skills during the Invention Convention, presenting original ideas developed over several months.
