Undivided Hearts: A Week That Pointed Us to Christ

Undivided Hearts: A Week That Pointed Us to Christ

Westminster Academy marked Holy Week with a powerful, campus-wide Spiritual Emphasis Week—a meaningful time of worship, reflection, and spiritual growth for students at every level.

Our Upper School students focused on the theme Undivided, exploring what it means to fully surrender their hearts to Christ. The week was enriched by Worship Serve musicians and impactful messages from Lane Wood, Dr. Sam Lamerson, and WA alumnus Will Buschmann ’12, who each challenged and encouraged students in their walk of faith.

Across Lower School and PREP, students journeyed through the story of Easter—from Palm Sunday to the Resurrection—hearing from Dr. Satterly and Coach Gonzalez and participating in a special second–grade–led Easter Chapel, all pointing to the hope we have in Christ.

The week concluded with a special visit from Jameson Reeder Jr. and his dad, Mr. Jameson Reeder, both former WA students. Jameson courageously shared his story of surviving a shark attack and the journey that followed—marked by resilience, faith, and incredible bravery. He spoke about trusting God through challenges and reminded students that, as believers, we do not live in a spirit of fear because God is always with us. His testimony was a powerful example of perseverance and unwavering faith.

We are grateful for this intentional time set apart to grow in faith and be reminded of the truth of the Gospel.
