Westminster Academy marked Holy Week with a powerful, campus-wide Spiritual Emphasis Week—a meaningful time of worship, reflection, and spiritual growth for students at every level. Our Upper School students focused on the theme Undivided, exploring what it means to fully surrender their hearts to Christ. The week was enriched by Worship Serve musicians and impactful messages from Lane Wood, Dr. Sam Lamerson, and WA alumnus Will Buschmann ’12, who each challenged and encouraged students in their walk of faith. Our annual parent surveys give us another perspective when setting schoolwide goals and priorities. While results vary slightly from year to year, one thing is consistently at the top—safety and security. Safety and security have always been and will always be a top priority at Westminster Academy. This means a continuing process of improvement and training. Before students returned to campus after the new year, all faculty and staff participated in a comprehensive Active Assailant Training. Westminster Academy proudly announces that Headmaster Dr. Joel Satterly has achieved the Council on Educational Standards and Accountability (CESA) Head of School Certification. Recognized at the recent CESA Symposium in Denver, Colorado, Dr. Satterly joins a distinguished group of leaders—the first in Florida—who have undergone rigorous self-reflection, peer assessment, and mentorship to meet the highest standards of Christian school leadership. CESA’s Head of School Certification process is designed to enhance personal and professional growth.
