Westminster Academy is excited to celebrate outstanding student achievement in the fine arts. Felipe Rubio was selected as one of only six students selected for the prestigious Broward County All-County Band, chosen from 30 auditioning students across the county. His selection reflects exceptional musicianship, dedication, and hard work. WA was also well represented at the Broward County All-County Orchestra, the culminating concert showcasing some of Broward’s most accomplished young musicians. Students are selected through teacher recommendation (Bronze) and competitive auditions (Silver and Gold), with limited spots available across public and private schools. Westminster Academy Fine Arts students had an outstanding showing at the Florida Music Education Association Professional Development Conference and 2026 All-State concerts, held January 14–17 in Tampa. These prestigious events bring together the state’s top student musicians to rehearse and perform under the direction of renowned guest conductors. WA junior Liam Pace earned the honor of performing in the All-State TTBB Honor Choir after successfully passing three rounds of rigorous statewide auditions, showcasing his dedication and vocal talent. Our Band and Orchestra’s trip to New Orleans was amazing! From the vibrant streets of the French Quarter to the soulful sounds of live jazz echoing throughout the city, the experience was unforgettable. Westminster Academy students showcased their musical talents at the All-County Honors Orchestra Performance, a prestigious event featuring top young musicians across Broward County. Over four days of rehearsals, guided by distinguished conductors, our students prepared and performed outstanding pieces. Over four days of intensive rehearsals, guided by a distinguished conductor, these students prepared and performed three exceptional pieces.
