50th Anniversary Time Capsule

50th Anniversary Time Capsule

When we launched our 50th Anniversary with the Celebration Weekend in the fall, we opened the time capsule from 1996 during a special chapel. This spring, following our National Day of Prayer Chapel, we prayed for the future students, our current student body, and those who will follow. Then students filled a time capsule which will be opened in 2031, with new memorabilia.

“It was quite memorable to be a part of the 25 year time capsule as a student, and then to be involved again for the 50 year as faculty. Reading my second grade essay from 1996, then standing with my son as he placed items in the trunk to be opened in the future was such a unique experience to share with him.” Allison Alexander ’06 Shapansky

The Pacienza family placed the final item, the 50 Stories of 50 Years Devotional, in the time capsule, and Pastor Rob closed in prayer.
