Technology Teacher

Job Overview: 

Plan, organize, and implement technology-specific curriculum within the classroom environment and through all school activities as prescribed by the Principal as we work together to achieve the school’s mission and vision. To oversee and implement an innovative technology program that fosters creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. 

Technology Curriculum Key Components: 

  • Align each class with the corresponding ISTE standards. This includes selecting appropriate topics, creating lesson plans, and identifying learning resources.
  • Delivering engaging and interactive technology lessons to students. Teaching various topics such as computer programming, web development, database management, digital literacy, computer hardware, networking, cybersecurity, and other relevant technology subjects.
  • Conducting hands-on activities, experiments, and demonstrations to enhance students’ understanding of technology concepts. Providing guidance and support during practical sessions and projects.
  • Exercise good stewardship over WA’s technology resources.
  • Establishing a positive and inclusive learning environment. Managing student behavior, ensuring discipline, and promoting a respectful and collaborative classroom atmosphere.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology and educational practices. Attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborating with other teachers, administrators, and stakeholders to integrate technology into interdisciplinary projects, promote digital literacy, and support school-wide initiatives.
