Celebrating Faithful Service at WA

Celebrating Faithful Service at WA

This year, Westminster Academy honors beloved faculty and staff whose faithful service has helped shape the life of our school community.

At the center of this year’s farewells is Coach Jeff Smith, WA’s longest-serving teacher, who retires after 48 years of dedicated service. For nearly five decades, Coach Smith faithfully served one community, shaping generations of students through his leadership, steady presence, and Christ-centered commitment. His influence on Westminster Academy is deep and enduring, and his legacy will continue to be felt for years to come.

We invite the WA community to join us in celebrating Coach Jeff Smith and his 48 years of faithful service on the occasion of his retirement on May 21 at 8:00 p.m. in the Dr. Kenneth P. Wackes Media Center. A dessert reception will follow.

We also extend our gratitude to Melissa Ruiz for her 10 years of faithful service to Westminster Academy as both a Lower School Teaching Assistant and Upper School Administrative Assistant. Her caring spirit and joyful presence have been a blessing to the WA community.

We are deeply grateful for their faithful service and pray God’s blessings over their next chapters.
