WA Athletes competing at the state level!
Cross Country
What an outstanding day for our Westminster Academy Lions at the State Championships on November 22 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.
Ladies’: The team raced to an impressive 5th-place finish, highlighted by medalists Avery Carvell and Noelle Richardson, along with Eugenia Fantoni, Reese Richardson, Isla Oles, Chloe Conrad, and Lauren Sauer.
Men: The team earned a strong 6th-place finish, led by Lucas Latimore, Scott Sanok, Giancarlo Rosado, Wilson Seeman, Kiesel Wildrick, Samuel Scharer, and Sam LaFortune.
Swim & Dive
Our WA swimmers had a successful State Championship meet on Saturday, November 8, in Ocala.
Highlights include:
- 11th place overall finish for the Men’s team
- Abram Johnson set lifetime-best times and made Finals in both the 50 free and 100 free (placing 10th and 15th, respectively).
- The Men’s 200 freestyle relay (Dane Fox, Abram Johnson, Adrian Gordon, Chris Bennett) finished in 5th place and just missed another school record by only .05.
- The Men’s 400 free relay (Abram Johnson, Dane Fox, Chris Bennett, Hudson Kimpel) finished in 9th place with a season-best time.
- The Men’s 200 medley relay (Lucas Linares, Dane Fox, Kaan Trentadue, and Chris Bennett) finished in 12th place with a new best time.
- The Ladies’ 200 medley relay (Siri Deenah, Isabella Volkert, Danielle Gordon, and Marley Scott) placed 18th with a season best.
