November 6, 2017 Posted in: School News Tags: ,

IMG_3415.jpgOn Friday, November 3, the fourth-grade students took a field trip to the Everglades, along with a very special guest, Mr. Satterly! The students enjoyed learning about Seminole traditions and culture at the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum and Festival where they even got see an alligator wrestling show. Afterward, they went to Billie Swamp Safari for an exciting afternoon. Students got to ride on airboats and swamp buggies through the Big Cypress Swamp in the Everglades and saw a number of animals in the wild while learning about the Everglades ecosystem! They also saw a snake show and got up close and personal with a skunk, alligator, armadillo, and more at a critter show. This was a fun-filled day of adventure for all. Thank you to Mr. Satterly for joining on this trip and to the wonderful parent chaperones who volunteered their time!

Early preparation is key, so we encourage parents of preschoolers through seniors to attend. As a college preparatory school, we are excited to offer this event presented by our alumni who want to give back to their alma mater which laid a foundation for the success they experience today.
