Every year, Westminster Academy strives for our community to be “All In” with a gift to the Annual Fund. A high level of participation is sought from the school board, faculty, staff, current families, alumni, alumni families, grandparents, and friends of the school. The distinctive qualities that a Christian, private school education provides require a combination of tuition and charitable donations. Our 2019-20 goal is to raise $850,000 for the Annual Fund to:Invest in people (Tuition assistance for students, professional development for faculty, and a short-term benevolence fund for tuition to minister to families experiencing hardship.) The class of 2026 celebrated their promotion from fifth grade into middle school on Wednesday, May 29. Gathered in the Kennedy Fellowship Hall at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, the fifth-grade students primarily conducted their own program.It began with pledges led by Jack Scott, Nathaniel Lencse, and Maria Wiemerslage and an opening prayer by Student Council Prayer Warrior, Andrew Lencse. Student Council President, Addison Dannheim, welcomed the parents. Following, Olivia Oropesa, Daniel Delgado, and Ryan Rivers shared their reflections. It’s open to children turning two before September 1 through those going into sixth grade. Camp WA provides age-appropriate activities in a fun, safe, and secure environment at an affordable price. This week the Lions' Parent Association (LPA) begins restocking the Uniform Bank in preparation for the 2019–20 school year! Please consider donating your uniforms, P.E. uniforms, and spirit wear. First, if you choose to help, all items need to be clean and bagged. Then, please drop them off in the lower school office, upper school office, or the WA Welcome Center.Because of the security risk, please do NOT donate uniforms and attire with a WA logo or name to other organizations.
