History came to life as fifth-grade students participated in their Living Wax Museum, transforming into famous historical figures through research, writing, and creativity. Students presented first-person speeches, “coming to life” when visitors pressed their buttons to hear their stories. From scientists and leaders to pioneers and world changers, each student showcased their learning through engaging presentations, detailed displays, and creative costumes. Our first-ever WA Lion All-Star Day today, April 16, was a fun and memorable success! Thirty-two lower school students stepped into roles like Teacher, Principal, Art Assistant, and more—experiencing a day of leadership and creativity. With official badges, themed attire, and lunch with their “colleagues,” the day was filled with excitement and smiles. This new experience introduced at this year’s Star-Spangled Gala was a highlight and a great reminder of the leadership our students are developing....

Learning came to life in meaningful ways for Westminster Academy students through engaging, hands-on experiences in both fourth and sixth grade. These experiences reflect Westminster Academy’s commitment to cultivating curiosity, creativity, and real-world learning at every grade level. Fourth-grade students showcased their creativity and problem-solving skills during the Invention Convention, presenting original ideas developed over several months. We’re excited to launch Discover After-School Enrichment Clubs for Lower School and PREP students this quarter—led by our faculty and staff! These weekly clubs provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, social skills, and personal growth. Clubs meet once a week from 3:00–4:00 p.m., August 25–October 3. Pick-up is from 4:00–4:30 p.m. via the 22nd Ave car line. Registration opens Tuesday, August 19, at noon at wa.edu/discover.
