We were proud to showcase our students through the Virtual Festival of the Fine Arts, which premiered on YouTube on September 22! This wonderful overview of the Fine Arts at WA and included performances from our 5th-Grade Choir, Jazz Band, High School Orchestra, High School Choir, High School Drama, Lower and Middle School Drama, Broadcasting, and Visual Arts! We are excited to share that live-streaming is now in place for the H.W. Huizenga Family Football Field at the west campus Athletic Complex. Streaming is done through the NFHS Network and requires either a monthly pass ($10.99) or an annual pass ($69.99). In the last 12 months, the Lions Athletic Club (Boosters) was newly formed and focused on supporting our Westminster Academy student-athletes to excel on and off the field with new equipment, gear, and facilities. We join Mrs. Bonnie Thompson, Upper School Media Specialist, and her family in grieving the loss of her father, Jim Brown. Jim and his wife, Ruth, have been part of the Westminster Academy story from its beginning. An original board member, then Development Director, Jim served the school for 30 years. When Jim wasn’t focused on WA, he created visually-pleasing home, building, and church landscapes with his landscaping company, “Supreme Gardens.” In fact, Jim felt Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church and Westminster Academy were two of his most fulfilling landscaping achievements.
