Nathaniel Lencse Named 2026 Coca-Cola Scholars Program Semifinalist

Westminster Academy senior Nathaniel Lencse has been named a 2026 Coca-Cola Scholars Program Semifinalist, distinguishing himself among more than 107,000 applicants nationwide. Only 1,238 students were selected—representing just 1.12% of applicants—based on their outstanding academic excellence, leadership, and service in their schools and communities. This recognition highlights Nathaniel’s commitment to using his God-given gifts to lead and serve others.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program, a joint effort between Coca-Cola bottlers across the country and The Coca-Cola Company, is the largest corporate-sponsored, achievement-based scholarship program in the United States. Since its founding in 1986, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation has provided more than $90 million in scholarships to over 7,200 students nationwide. Semifinalists now move forward to submit essays, transcripts, and recommendations for the next round of consideration, where 250 Regional Finalists will be chosen in January. Ultimately, 150 students will be named Coca-Cola Scholars, earning a $20,000 college scholarship and participating in the Coca-Cola Scholars Leadership Development Institute in Atlanta, Georgia.

Nathaniel’s achievement stands as a testament to his character, scholarship, and service—core values that define the Westminster Academy experience. As he continues through the selection process, his leadership and dedication exemplify the school’s guiding principles of excellence, integrity, and Kingdom impact. Westminster Academy celebrates this honor with gratitude and pride, recognizing Nathaniel as an example of a student who strives to glorify God through both scholarship and service.
