WA Students Recognized in Scholastic Art Competition

WA Students Recognized in Scholastic Art Competition

This year marked an exciting milestone as WA students participated in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for the first time, the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens, founded in 1923. Artwork is judged at the regional level, with top entries advancing to national consideration.

Congratulations to Kathryn Rose Wright (11th), who earned a Silver Key for her charcoal drawing “Kyle,” and Margaux De Sousa (11th), who received an Honorable Mention for her pen and ink piece “Strange Eyeball.”

Their creativity, dedication, and artistic achievement are a wonderful reflection of the talent within our Fine Arts program.
